Welcome to the website of Marshside Fishery

Our lakes are set in peaceful countryside in the heart of rural Kent surrounded by fields and marshland. The two lakes cover an area of 7.5 acres with a combined total of 60 swims. The banks behind the swims allow plenty of room for overnight camping to accommodate night fishing. In addition, there is ample car parking and regularly-maintained toilet facilities. Water quality is checked on a regular basis to ensure the best possible conditions for maintaining healthy fish.

Our lakes are well stocked with a good variety of coarse fish which are in excellent condition. HOMERSHAMS, our specimen lake, has 4 carp over 30lbs, Chub, Bream, Tench, Grass Carp, Barbel, Roach and Rudd.

SCROGGINS Lake has a similar stock but has more silver fish for the match fisherman. The fishery’s biggest Tench (11lbs) is in Scroggins Lake.

See our "Haul" of fame here

Both our lakes are set in a very peaceful, farming environment. As well as the fish stock there is an abundance of indigenous wildlife to see, including both Marsh and Hen Harriers. We take our responsibilities to the environment seriously and expect users of the fishery to do likewise.

There is an abundance of wildlife both in and around the lake and it is our goal to provide a safe haven for all the flora and fauna in our care. As such, we make every effort to keep the lake and its surroundings clear of all litter and unsightly material. We ask that you take all your litter away with you and that you respect other peoples’ right to peace and quiet whilst enjoying both the fishing and the countryside.

'Cameras kill fish! If you want to take photos of fish you catch please obey the following guide lines: Leave the fish in the water (in the landing net) 'til you are ready to take the picture. Have your mat, camera and someone to take the picture ready before you unhook the fish. Kneel down and hold the fish as close to the ground as possible in case you drop it. Take the picture and get the fish back in the water as soon as possible.
